Somers Big Red helps NSXC build confidence...

The 2010 Cross Country Season is underway. The team started the season with a strong showing at the Somers Big Red Invitational this past weekend. The runners have been working hard all summer and it showed on Saturday. Almost every athlete that ran finished with a better time than they ran the previous year. Although we only had two girls competing, they ran hard and pushed through some adversity. The freshman and Varsity boy’s teams ran well. Coach Gilchrist and Coach Holst are extremely proud of the athletes who competed on Saturday.

Meet highlights include:

Freshman Team finished 2nd in Class C

Varsity Team finished 4th in Class C
