In Cross Country the key to success is pack running. The North Salem Cross Country team started to put this idea into action on Friday at the Red Raider Run. For years the team has had a couple of top runners, but for the first time in a long time the team has the potential to develop a top 7 group with unlimited potential. Pictured below is our group of top 7 runners who attended the meet.
Top Finishers and Race Highlights include:
1. Cullin Burdett - 15th out of 73 (medal winner pictured above)
2. Micky Jacobsen - Finished as our number 2 runner with time of 19'22(personal best)
3. Luke Raskopf - 19'55 (personal best)
4. Ryan Hendrie - 20'11 - ran a great race and finished strong
5. Sean Devey - 20'15 - one of the two dynamic freshman in his Varsity debut ran a great race
6. Tomasz Stefankowski - 20'20 - the second of the two dynamic freshman in his Varsity debut ran well.
7. Andrew Mackenzie (injured) - Captain who showed great support and leadership by attending on Friday.
***Position 3 - 6 all finished within 25 seconds of each other - that is the epitome of pack running!!!
