XC State Championship!!!

Throughout the season the entire team has done well.  Cullin Burdett and Jake Acito have lead the team to unprecedented achievements this year.  They did so on Saturday in Buffalo as well.  For the first time since 1977 two members of the North Salem Cross Country Team represented section 1 in the New York State Cross Country Championships!  Congratulations to the boys on a wonderful season!!! Practice Monday 11/5/12

Practice will be held at the High School Track from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Make sure that you wear multiple layers of clothing on your lower and upper body.  Please wear a hat and gloves as well!!!

Westchester County Championships

The North Salem JV and Varsity teams competed in the Westchester County Championships yesterday.  The JV team had a great race lead by Dan Ketterer and Stephen Winston finishing 7th out of 24 teams.  In the varsity race the fastest runners in the entire country were all from Class C including our own Cullin Burdett. Rising Junior Jake Acito and freshmen sensation Cole Hastings help the varsity to finish 7th out of 37 teams.  Please check for race results below.

The coaches invitational provided a great opportunity for the kids to run great times.  The freshmen all had great races and all finished their season on a strong note.  The Varsity and JV boys also ran well.  After this performance we are looking for a strong performance at the County Championships.

McQuaid Invitational Success!!!

The 46th Annual McQuaid Invitational featured a record tying 245 teams.  Over 5,721 athletes competed at the meet coming from as far as Canada and Texas.  It is the 4th largest cross country meet in the country.  The meet was highlighted by record breaking performances.  North Salem's race featured 6 of the top 11 teams within the state.  Please enjoy the video and pictures from the meet.

At the first invitational of the Fall XC season the North Salem Tigers got their chance to put all of their hard work to the test.  The XC team has been working hard since early August and it showed on Saturday.
