Cullin Runs Well at State Championships...

Cullin went into the state championships ranked in the top 30...he finished the day ranked 19th. That is the highest ranking in school history since 1974.

#1 XC meet in the United States!!!

The North Salem XC team competed this weekend at the largest XC meet in the country. This past Saturday the XC team made the ride down to Van Courtlandt Park in the Bronx. The meet featured over 12,000 runners and was comprised of teams from all over the country (and Canada). The meet featured the number 1 boys XC runner in the country (he is in the slide show). Muddy Saturday

With a mud filled course and cool air at their backs, the North Salem Cross Country team was able to overcome all conditions to run well on Saturday. The Varsity boys placed 4th among 9 teams. The JV boys placed 6th out of 10 teams.

The entire team had a tremendous showing this weekend at the JFK Steriling Invitational. The Varsity boys placed 3rd and the JV boys placed 2nd. The girls ran with a full team for the first time this season. The freshman boys also ran well.

Big Showing for NS at Big Red

We live in a world where past success leads to future expectations. The success we had last year pales in comparison to the goals we have for the 2011 Cross Country team. This XC team will do things that have never been done at North Salem.

We've started to pave this years road to success on Saturday at the Somers Big Red Invitational. The Varsity boys came in 3rd out of 11 teams. The JV teams ran well, including some runners who vaulted themselves closer to the top 7 than ever before. The girls team ran well, while still awaiting the return of some members who were not available for this meet. The Freshman boys are off to a great start.
